Lancashire Boundary Walk - Day 13

29 June 2018 07:14

Day 13.
Good morning folks. It’s another lovely day, hot but a nice breeze here in Laneshaw Bridge.
Susan has brought me here, well I drove!
Today I will probably spend more time checking the map as there is no long trail like I’ve been used to since the start. So I’m creating my own route by walking on smaller sections of pathways as close to the boundary as possible.
I start from where I left off at the Emmott Arms then a short walk on the A6068 to the boundary at Laneshaw Bridge Reservoir. It’s all hamlets between here and Blacko. A route towards Warley Wise Lane then the Black Lane Ends Pub and south of Kelbrook which is now in Admin Lancashire but not in the real county. I hope to make Smithy Bridge on the A59 later between Gisburn and Chatburn.

Mileage walked today was 8.6, total over 13 days 187.4. Philip will be resting while this very hot weather continues.
