Tuesday 27th November - Lancashire Day Flying Shuttle the Official Beer of Lancashire Day Thwaites are planning to involve some two hundred of their pubs and free houses in the celebration of Lancashire Day with Flying Shuttle and food supplied by Wallings (Sausages & Burgers), Sandhams (Cheese) and Hollands (Hot Pot) and there will be a Lancashire Quiz. As part of the series 2000 men were tested to see if they had genetic material comparable to men in the Viking homelands of Norway and Denmark. Thursday 29th November A Lancashire Night - Crosby Rotary Club meet at the Northern Club Great Crosby for a Lancashire meal with with Loyal Toast and speaker. A Lancashire Night - The Freemen of Hale will meet at the Childe of Hale. During the evening there will be a competition for who can tell the best story or anecdote with a Lancashire flavour. A silver model of Stephensons Rocket will be presented to the winner to hold for a year. A Lancashire Beer Festival with ten Lancashire brewed guest
beers, will be held at the Smithfield Hotel, Swan Street, Manchester
